Lessy B was born from pain, purpose, and the unshakable belief that every woman deserves a way out — and a way forward.

Before I was even born, my grandmother, Lessy B, was murdered by her boyfriend. I never got to meet her, but her story has lived in the shadows of my family’s history — a painful reminder of the silent suffering too many women endure.

This program carries her name to honor her life and to create a different future for women like her — and women like me.

Lessy B stands for: Leave Everything, Sis — Save Yourself.

It’s a call to courage. A promise of support. And a sacred space for healing, stability, and self-discovery.

What began as a personal mission has grown into a movement. Lessy B is more than housing — it’s a soft landing after the fall. It’s the voice that says, “You can do this. You deserve better. We’ve got you.”

This program exists so that women don’t have to choose between abuse and homelessness — between survival and dignity.

Lessy B is a place to rest, rebuild, and rise.
